McGuinness Funeral Homes - Woodbury
Michael J. Dunn
November 9th, 1959 - March 13th, 2020
Michael J. Dunn, 60, of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Legacy Born in Woodbury, New Jersey, Mike was a Gateway High School graduate of the class of 1978, where he met his high school sweetheart, Lynda Card, in 9th grade. They went on to marry and were blessed with two daughters. In Mike's younger years he was a Disc Jockey and loved music, especially the oldies and country. Contrary to the times, Mike loved his role as a stay at home Dad when his daughters were young. The apples of his eye were his grandchildren, Hailey, Gianna, Elyse, Dominic and Colton. When his grandsons arrived, he could finally say he wasn't surrounded by ladies anymore. Mike was strong willed; a no nonsense kind of guy and you always knew where you stood with him. Mike enjoyed going to the Red Bank Battlefield and parking to watch the planes take off and land, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and the simple things in life like flying kites, long car rides and their annual trips to Wildwood. Family Beloved wife of 38 years to Lynda L. (nee Card); devoted father of Jillian Dunn and Kate (Dennis) Massa; cherished grandfather of Hailey, Gianna, Elyse, Dominic and Colton; loving son of Kathleen (nee Power) and the late Donald Dunn and dear brother of Sharon Hill and Colleen Dunn. Farewell Tribute Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. share the memories … share love … ShareLife® at www.mcgfuneral.com

McGuinness Funeral Homes - Woodbury
We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family....
