Michael Patrick Dunn Sr., 69 died at his home in Melbourne, Fl on Wednesday 8/26/20 under hospice care with his daughter, granddaughters and wife by his side. Son of the late Monroe J. Dunn and Edith A. (Ledwell) Dunn. Michael is survived by his wife Lynn (Patalano) Dunn of Melbourne, Fl, Brother to the late Marie (Dunn) Curtain of St . Mary’s, Ga, Daniel J. Dunn of Haverhill, Ma, the late Robert J. Dunn of Las Vegas, NV and John S. Dunn Sr., of Torrance, Ca. Father of Michael P. Dunn Jr & Christopher S. Dunn of Riverview, Fl, Kerri L. (Dunn) Smart and SIL Michael of Kissimmee, Fl., Grandfather to Michael J, Kailee C, Ashtyn L, and Brett A Smart. Also survived by Nieces and nephews and extended family. Born in Boston and raised in Canton before moving to Stoughton to raise his family and start his business, Dunn Landscaping. Michael was a Disabled Vietnam Veteran 1969-1970, in the USMC. Among other ribbons, medals and badges Michael was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, code V. Michael was a member of 1st Marine Div. Assoc, Amvets, American Legion, Disabled America Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Marine Corp League. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, friends from the Canton Town Club, Marine Corps. League and American Legion, was an avid boater and enjoyed telling jokes. Funeral will be held on 9/1/20 at Beach Funeral Home-East 1689 S. Patrick Drive Indian Harbour Beach, Florida 32937. Funeral Mass September 1, 2020 @ 11:30 AM at Ascension Catholic Church- 2950 N Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, Florida 32935 Burial With Military Honors will be September 1, 2020 @ 2:15 PM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery- 5525 US-1, Mims, Florida 32754
