Michael Gouin was born November 29, 1970, in Portsmouth Virginia. Michael came to rest on June 29, 2021, at 05:20 am at 50 years young. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Michelle Gouin, his children, Alex, Julianne, Jack, and his grandson, Oliver. Michael’s Father and Mother Robert and Cynthia. His siblings, Scott, Cheryl, David, and Sandy, as well as 5 nieces, 6 nephews, 4 great nieces and 4 great nephews. Michael was a devoted family man, an avid, Road Cyclist, Mountain Biker, Marathon Runner, Outdoorsman, and devoted Environmentalist. He loved everything nature. Before Retiring after serving 20+ years in the US Navy as Chief Petty Officer Michael served in Operation Iraq Freedom and Finished a 50-mile Marathon in Iraq’s Green Zone. Michael enjoyed his education at Johnson & Wales University, along with Chef training in numerous countries. He completed his Bachelor and Master Degree at Clemson University of SC in Environmental Studies. Most recently Michael used his education to work as an Environmental Coordinator for Nucor Steel Berkeley. Michael was much beloved by his family, friends, and co-workers. He will be deeply missed.
