Michael Hartling

Michael "Mike" J. Hartling, life-long resident of Waukesha County, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the age of 66. Mike was born on March 3, 1951, the son of Edwin and Julia Hartling. He worked as a welder for many companies. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting with Mike and chopping wood with his uncle, Chris. Mike will be missed by his wife, Mary; children, Cary (Ryan) Wik of Waukesha, John (Rachel) Hartling of Hartland, Ryan Hartling of Waukesha, Thomas (Gina) Hartling of Wisconsin Dells, and Chad Peterson of Racine; grandchildren, Payeton, Lyle, Vivienne, Kahlen, Nathan, Dylan, Jordan, Ashley, Zachary, Amanda, and Morgan. He is further survived by his brothers, Richard and Dennis; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy; and brother, Bob. The visitation for Mike will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI. 53188. The memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Mike's family would like to thank the staff of Aurora Hospice and Dr. Susan Darmstadter for their care and support.
