Michael Anderson Hicks was born in Bend Oregon in 1958 to Dolores Jeanne Anderson and TJ Hicks. He has one older brother Terry and a younger sister Tami Sue. Michael graduated from Amphi High School in Tucson, AZ in May 1976. Soon after graduation he joined the Navy August 1976. He traveled the world on the USS Robison (DDG-12) seeing many countries. After 4 years he had an honorable discharge with the rank MM3. He went back to school and got a degree in electronics. Michael then went to work for Burr-Brown and Texas Instruments for the next 25 years. He then worked for Raytheon for another 5 years. Michael met his wife Sandra in 1992, they were married in September 1994 and were married for almost 29 years before his passing. He is survived by Emma his adopted granddaughter, a son (Ian) and daughter (Nicole) from a previous marriage, he also has 5 grandchildren. Michael loved everything nautical and his favorite vacation spot was on the beach in the Florida Keys. He absolutely loved dolphins and any form of sea life, spending a lot of time snorkling on his vacations. Being an intelligent man with a lot to offer, but he didn't have the gift of chatter. Although he was quiet he loved his family without limits. He knew how to lay down the law and show how much he loved you at the same time. This beautiful soul was known as husband, daddy, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. He was my best friend, love, partner, and companion. Words or titles will never fill the void that has been left by his parting, but faith tells us we will all be together again.
