Michael Allen Horton

Michael Horton, an Arizona native, passed away suddenly Thursday morning June 3, 2021. He was born on October 26, 1947 in Phoenix, Arizona to Ernest and Mabel Horton and the youngest of four children (Fred, Jim and Dave). He married the love of his life, Carol, and was blessed with two children, daughter Lori (Tim Kochert) and son Mickey "Michael Horton II" (Angela). Mike graduated from Washington High School and was an Eagle scout with full merits. Mike was drafted in the US Army in 1966 to 1968, he was in Ft. Bliss, TX and served in SchwÁ¤bisch Hall in Germany. He graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute and Maricopa Technical College and graduated both with honors. He worked for Empire Machinery in Mesa, Arizona for 41-years and retired in 2012. He will be GREATLY missed and was loved deeply to ALL that knew him. He was a true mentor to many but especially our family. The full joy of his life was Carol, our family gatherings and especially spending time with his six grandchildren (David, Michael, Kevin, Marissa, Chris and Monique) and one great-grandchild (Brynlee). His grandchildren and great-grandchild were his PRIDE AND JOY, he was so proud of each of them and loved them SO MUCH. Mike"s kind spirit, sparkling blue eyes and his smile will always live in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Mike and Carol did everything together and never missed any of their children and grandchildren events. Hot, cold or rain, they were always there. Each life lesson and great memories he shared will be endured forever. We love and miss him so much, heaven gained a great man today. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Falconer Funeral Home located at 251 W Juniper Ave., Gilbert, AZ 85233 at 10:00 a.m. "Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end.
