Michael V. Huck, 72, of Merritt Island, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 21, 2010. He was born in Detroit, MI to Myrtle and Louis Huck. Michael received his Bachelors degree in Radio and TV Production at Michigan State. He was a member of MTOA, Skippers Club, AGLCA and EGYC. Michael received outstanding recognition for his accomplishment as the first civil aviation pilot authorized for Category II instrument landings, and numerous sailing championships. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Michael, Jr, Heidi, Kimberly, Cynthia, Brent and Kelly. Michael was preceded in death by his son Ryan. A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., with a Tribute to begin at 2:00, Monday, October 25, 2010 at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach. In lieu of flowers, gifts to Hospice of St. Francis.
