April 28th, 1944 - January 28th, 2022
Tribute Michael Joeseph Kovac, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2022. Michael was born April 28, 1944 to Michael and Anne Kovac, in Chicago, Illinois. Michael a longtime resident of Longmont, married Joyce Kovac in 1991. Michael is survived by his wife Joyce; children, Michael (Denise), Kevin, Bryan, Rhonda and Lorrie (Scott); sisters Maryanne (Robert) and Francis (Butch); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mike was an active parishioner at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with family and friends. Mike enjoyed his retirement by volunteering at Longmont United Hospital and traveling with his wife, Joyce. His favorite destinations were Las Vegas and Mexico. Mike, "Slick" to his sons' friends, was known for his incredible sense of humor. Mike had a great love of family and faith and will be remembered for his big heart and outrageous storytelling. He will be deeply missed. Services will be held on Monday February 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. 3791 Pike Road Longmont, Colorado.
