In Loving Memory

Michael (Mike) Floyd Leino, 61, of Meadowlands, MN, passed away peacefully at home after a battle with cancer on October 1, 2024. Born on November 28, 1962, Michael was known for his caring, loving, giving nature, and his remarkable resilience, often described as having Sisu. He was a man of deep faith and a Jack of all Trades.

Michael graduated from Toivola Meadowlands High School and later earned a degree in Computer Programing from Lake Superior College. His career was as diverse as his interests, spanning from farming, mechanics to tree services, and from postal services to insurance sales. He furthered his professional journey at DMR and Keewatin Taconite, moved to Essentia Health, and consulted in Texas before finally joining Advent Health in Florida.

A very proud Marine, Michael served from 1981 to 1985, embodying the corps' values throughout his life. He was a dedicated member of both Meadowlands Christian Way Fellowship and Floodwood Assemblies of God. He enjoyed sharing his love for Jesus Christ to everyone around.

Michael's hobbies included farming, fishing, hunting, and sightseeing with his family. He was always eager to help others, especially with computer issues, and cherished time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” (Smith) Leino; mother, Gail Reimer; children, Josh (Heather), Keliah, and Aaron; grandchildren, Khloe, Abel, Josiah, Paisley, Teegan, and Tristen; brother, Steve; mother-in-law, Doris Smith; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward & Ethel Rengo and Elvira and Jack Kero, Eino Leino; father, Floyd Leino; stepfather, Dale Reimer; siblings, Debbie Sanders and Mark Leino; father-in-law, Morris Smith; and son-in-law, Tyler Adams.

Michael's life was a testament to his strong character and generous heart, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. He shared his journey, spent time with many friends and family, and was a fierce warrior. He stood strong in this verse:

Romans 8:28

“ALL THINGS work together for good for those that love God and are called according to His purpose.”
