Michael Lynn

Michael Sean Lynn, 24, passed away at his home on April 15, 2019. Michael, who preferred to go by Mikhail, was born on March 11, 1995, in Englewood, Colorado. He was lovingly cared for by his father, Michael Lynn, and Kathy and Jim Sanders, who, while starting as his daycare providers, quickly made him and his father a beloved part of their family. Mikhail was an exceptionally creative individual, with talents ranging from clothing design, to cosmetology, to art, and most recently, to adding beauty in this world through growing magnificent sunflowers. He attended Denver School of the Arts, and Heritage High School, and held positions at high-end retail and beauty shops, including Michael Kors, Ulta Beauty, and Aveda Salons. Under the name Anastasia Fawni, he was an amazing Drag Queen, performing in both Denver and Seattle. As a true Pisces, he studied the power of dreams, crystals, and Egyptology. His beloved Maine Coon cat, Pharoah, whom he trained from a kitten, embodies his affectionate soul. Both mischievous and dramatic, Mikhail’s energy was huge and brilliant, and he filled any room he entered with a special, beautiful, loving light. Now, that light flies free to explore the world, especially Paris, where he always dreamed of going. Mikhail is survived by his father and stepmother, Michael and Amy Lynn, of Littleton, Colorado; two brothers, Dan Lynn, of Littleton, Colorado, and Trevor Lynn, of Denver, Colorado; a stepsister, Kelsea Kilbride, of Bellingham, Washington; his paternal grandparents, Russell and Hazel Lynn of Aurora, Colorado; an aunt, Jeri Thomas, of Aurora, Colorado; two cousins, Melanie Thomas and Melissa Thomas, of Aurora, Colorado; and his “adoptive” parents, Kathy and Jim Sanders, of Winter Haven, Florida, and their children, Amber Johnson, Jimi Sanders, Roberta Lovato, and special niece Madeline Sanders. His mother, Donna Betterbed, preceded him in death. A celebration of Mikhail’s life will be scheduled for a future date.
