Michael Darrin Lynn

Michael Darrin Lynn, 54, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2022 after his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and close-knit Marine family. His celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the residence of Marc and Ashley Lynn in Lexington, South Carolina. Darrin Lynn was born on December 19, 1967 in Hickory, North Carolina to his parents Jerry L. Lynn and the late Linda S. Munn. He gained a loving step-mother, Patsy Lynn, and a loving step-father, Marion Munn throughout his life. Darrin is also survived by his siblings, Alana, Marc, and Brayden; sister-in-law, Ashley; nieces, Kori, Kiersten, and Meredith; and nephew, Coleman. After graduating Brookland-Cayce High School, Darrin served in the Unites States Marine Corps from December 12, 1987 to May 14, 1993. He was a dedicated employee of the SCANA Corporation/Dominion Energy for 30 years as a Senior Telecommunications Technician. Darrin had a brilliant mind and a kind heart. He was the “techy” of the family and we all leaned on him for help. He loved science fiction, fantasy, and all things Disney. He was responsible for our yearly family trips to Disney World. Darrin was truly loved and cherished by his family and friends and will be deeply missed. In the words of JR Tolkien, one of his favorite authors, “Moonlight drowns out all but the brightest stars.” In a sky full of stars, we will forever see him shine.
