"Belchertown – Michael J. Mattison, 44, of Sabin St., passed away May 5, 2009 at Mary Lane Hospital. Born February 26, 1965 in Glens Falls, NY, he is the son of Alfred Mattison, Sr. of Putnam Station, NY and Dianne (Gallagher) of Whitehall, NY. He was raised in both Whitehall and Putnam Station, NY and has resided in Belchertown for 26 years. Michael was a musician, an experienced carpenter and wood worker and he loved the outdoors. He was a "Big Kid" who had a great sense of adventure and was very creative. Besides his parents, he will be deeply missed by his three children Jennifer Espeseth of Woodstock, CT, Alexander and Breanna Mattison of Belchertown. He also leaves a brother Alfie Mattison of Putnam Station, NY and two grandchildren Summer and Samantha Espeseth. Michael was predeceased by his wife Linda A. (Wedell) in 2004. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family."
