Michael Middleton

Obituary Michael Dean Middleton, age 60 of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Golden Peaks Center in Fort Collins, surrounded by his family. Michael was born March 17, 1960 to Wiley and Rose (Flores) Middleton in Fort Knox, Kentucky. The family made their home in Leadville, Colorado where Michael attended school. He graduated from Lake County High School with the class of 1978. After high school, Michael enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from 1978 to 1981. He had obtained rank of Sergeant at the time of his honorable discharge. Michael went on to work for Denver Burglar Alarm from 1982 to 1997 as a service technician. Michael was also very involved with Harvest Farm of Wellington, Colorado, animal rescue, and helping homeless with food and clothing. He also enjoyed spending time with family. Michael thrived when he was taking a trip to go camping and fishing. His granddaughter Layla definitely has a special place in his heart. Michael was a good hearted, kind and funny man. He was a wonderful, loving father, caring grandpa and brother who was always there for family and friends. He will be missed greatly. Michael is preceded in death by his parents and and the love of his life, Diane. He is survived by his son, Wiley Rae (Jennifer) Middleton of Henderson, CO; his brothers, Wiley J. (Deb) Middleton of Salida, CO, Jim (Tonya) Middleton of Douglas, WY, Paul (Kerri) Middleton of Elko, NV; his sister, Andrea Middleton of Jacksonville, FL and granddaughter, Layla; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends who will miss Michael.
