Michael "Mike" Lee Kennedy
March 26th, 1949 - July 12th, 2021
Michael Kennedy (Mike) 72 of Cocoa Beach, FL passed away peacefully with family by his side on July, 12th 2021. Mike was born on March, 26th 1949 In Galesburg, IL to Vincent and Betty Kennedy. He is survived by Beverly Kennedy, Jennifer Billingham (Frank), Ellyson Kennedy (Scott), Jeffrey Kennedy (Jessica) and two adored Granddaughters Anna Billingham and Louell White. Mike is also survived by his siblings Jim, Pat, Cathy, and Danny. Mike is preceded in death by his Mother and Father and brother Tom. Mike served in the United States Army as a medic in the Vietnam War. Mike had a degree in Metallurgy and proudly worked as a tool and die maker at the Cape for over 30 years. He worked at a Lockheed and retired from SPACEX in 2018. Mike loved NHRA drag racing, launching rockets, and spending time with his family. He had a sense of humor that was beyond compare. Mike was always there to lend a helping hand at any time to anyone. Mike will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Mike’s service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Cocoa Beach, FL on July, 24th 2021 at 11 AM. He will be laid to rest at the memorial garden immediately following the service.
