Michael Alan Pirkle

Michael Alan Pirkle, age 32, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2016. Mike was born in Albuquerque on August 23, 1983 to Rick and Pam Pirkle. Mike was a kind hearted generous soul. He had an amazing sense of humor and was always trying to make you laugh, his impressions and accents will be a lasting memory for us all. He was a talented guitar player and song writer, he truly loved playing his guitar for people. He loved to draw and loved to write he was always writing down his thoughts and dreams and ambitions. Mike loved helping people, he was a nurse tech at Presbyterian hospital for may years as well a volunteer firefighter with District 7 out of Valencia County and was also an EMT. The thing that Mike cherished being the most was a father, He adored his three beautiful children and loved spending time with them more then anything in the world, he was a loving father and will be profoundly missed by his children and all who knew and loved him. Mike is survived by his children, sons, Shawn and Jessie and his daughter Chloe. He is also survived by his mother Pam Pirkle; sister Tami Pirkle Bentz (Matt); grandmothers Violet Pirkle and Clara Mapstone; uncle Bob Pirkle; aunts Sheila Pirkle and Sharon George (Tim); uncle Bill Mapstone (Sandi); nephews Jake and Brad Pirkle and niece Lilly (his beloved sister Jaymes children). Also surviving is his best friend since childhood Stefan Griego (Hannah); his friend and brother John Abeita, Shawn and Jessie's mother and long time friend Tiffanie Castillo. Mike leaves behind his amazing fiancee and Chloe's mother Lauren Wong-Jones. Mike was preceded in death by his dad Rick, his beloved sister Jayme, his grandfathers Cliff Pirkle and Bill Mapstone. Mike, to know you was to love you, to love you made us the lucky ones and we will love and miss you until we meet again. A memorial service and celebration of Mike's life will be held July 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home Chapel, 225 San Mateo NE.
