Kernersville-Michael Allen Rash, 64, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, on October 27, 2014. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 1:00PM Saturday November 8, 2014 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. A native of Forsyth County, Mike was the son of the late Burrus Junior Rash and Sylvia Ann Speas Zumpano. A woodworker by trade, Mike built numerous houses in the community over the years. He was an avid fisherman and always had a story to tell following his trips. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a brother Ronnie Rash and step-father Chuck Zumpano. Survivors include his daughter Donna Horton and husband David Turnipseed and step-daughters Vicki Horton, and Connie Smith all of Kernersville; sister Nina Ball of Kernersville; brother Vincent Zumpano of California; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
