Michael "Mouse" D. Roberts

Michael D. "Mouse" Roberts 61, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Michael was an accomplished musician who played with the likes of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Keith Whitley. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Michael graduated from Ketron High School and also attended East Tennessee State University where he received his associates degree. He also loved animals and children. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Mayola Roberts. Survivors include siblings, Doris Huffman and husband Ezra, Faye Arnold and husband Glen, Alvin Roberts and wife Brenda, Brenda Browder and husband Larry, Charles Roberts and wife (Janice); 13 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, 2014 from 5pm to 7pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home 520 Watauga St. Kingsport, TN 37660. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. A graveside service will be conducted 11 am Friday, January 9 2014 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Lee Roberts, Jon Roberts, Terry Arnold, Noah Huffman, Larry Browder and Mackenzie Baker serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kingsport animal shelter at 2141 Idle Hour Road, Kingsport, TN 37660 Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown Kingsport is serving the Roberts Family.
