Biography Kernersville-Michael Barrett Shelton, 56, passed away June 23, 2014. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held 6:00PM Friday June 27, 2014 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Pastor Hagan McClellan, Sr. officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Church Columbarium. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church. A native of Forsyth County, Michael was the son of the late Maxine Elizabeth Motsinger and Junior Ray Shelton. He was a lifetime member of Pisgah United Methodist Church and was a choir member at the church. He had worked for Airgas of Colfax for 32 years, and had a perfect driving record with the company. He will be missed by all who knew him, and especially his furry friend "Sabbath". In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Atkins Shelton and his special Brother-in-law Dave Crook. Survivors include his loving sister Donna Lynn Shelton of Kernersville; special cousin Sharon Stamper of Kernersville; special friends Robin Atkins and Anna Shull both of Kernersville.
