Michael Paul Sims Jr
July 4th, 1988 - April 21st, 2021
Michael Paul Sims, Jr, 32, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. A native of Frankfort, he was born on July 4, 1988 to Michael Paul (Donna) Sims and Tammy Jean Smith Sims. He was a former employee of Ohio Valley Aluminum as a heavy equipment operator. Michael loved riding his Harley and loved motorcycles. He enjoyed being outside, camping, hunting, and fishing. He was a Honorary Hang around in the Second Brigade Motorcycle Club. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his sisters, Michelle (Marc Brown) Evans, Frankfort, Miranda (Hermon) Young, Frankfort, Britney (Scott) Spicer, Frankfort; his brothers, Matthew Sims, Lawrenceburg, and Shawn (Heather) Brown, Frankfort; his paternal grandmother, Phyllis Kay Sims; his uncles, William Smith, Lawrenceburg, David (Anna) Lynn, Frankfort, and Jason (Sherry) Smith, Harrodsburg; his aunts, Rebecka Lynn, Frankfort, Stephanie (Gaylen) Jackson, Frankfort, and Linda Quinn, Lawrenceburg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ike and Ruby Smith; and his uncle, Terry Smith. Funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Pastor Jim O’Brien will be officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be David Lynn, Matthew Sims, Marc Brown, Scott Spicer, Bill Johnstone, and Jason Smith. Honorary casketbearers will be William Smith and Shawn Brown. Visitation will be held from 11:30am until 1:30pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
