Michael Gregory Stepanski

STEPANSKI, Michael Gregory, 25, of Tampa, Florida passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 in an accident. He was a native Floridian born at Brandon Regional Hospital. Michael graduated from the University of Miami, Magnum Cum Laude. While attending Miami, Michael was on the Bio Ethics debate team and he served as a treasurer his senior year. He was currently a student attending at the University of South Florida. He also worked at Mentor Group Home for special needs adults; he was in charge of taking care of the elderly with Cerebral Palsy. Michael had a big heart and always wanted to help people throughout his life. Michael loved spending time with his family playing games and was known for his witty personality. He enjoyed working out, reading and was a vegetarian because he never wanted to hurt animals. He loved his dogs, Chip and Rocky. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Michael Treacy, Theodore Stepanski and Mary Jo Stepanski. Michael is survived by his parents, Gregory and Susan Stepanski; his grandmother, Elizabeth Tucker Treacy; brother, Brian Stepanski; sister, Maura Stepanski and her wife, Laura Heid. The family will receive friends at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. A private interment will immediately follow Mass. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Michael’s name to Humane Society of Tampa https://humanesocietytampa.org/give/. There will also be an option at the service on Thursday to donate cash to the group home, Telfair, where Michael worked.
