Michael George Utley passed away March 8, 2024 in Sebring, Florida after an extended illness. Mike was enlisted in the Air Force as a combat instructor at Eglen AFB. He retired from Delphi after 30 years in 2004. He lived to play golf and his favorite course was Killbuck Golf Course. Mike loved his kids and family but had a unique bond with the kids from Special Olympics. He was selected as Coach of the Year in Region 6 in 2010 for golf. He is survived by his wife Marsha Utley; son Derek Utley (Tracy Finch); daughter’s Stacy Wheat (Ron) and Shelly Hasty (Todd). Sister Luetta DuBois. Grandchildren Casey and Arianna Utley, Sydney Murphy (Matthew), Eric & Emily Hasty and Alan Wheat (Jackie). One great grandson Jones Murphy and two more on the way! Mike was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert Utley, Mary Jo Warner, and brother in-law Jerry DuBois. The family requests in lieu of flowers to send donations to the Madison County Special Olympics at 1100 E 5th Street, Anderson, IN 46012. A celebration of Life will be held in June, please contact family directly for further information on this.
