Michael VanMeter, 62, of Belleview, FL, passed away October 11, 2019. He was born on February 12, 1957 to Jerry and Connie (Cordell) VanMeter in Ashland, Ohio. Mike moved here from Ohio in 1994. He was the retail sales manager of TruckPro in Ocala for seventeen years. His hobbies included building model cars, watching and attending sporting events, cooking out with friends and family, and decorating for the holidays. Mike is survived by his wife, Cindy, Belleview, FL, daughter, Michelle Pavon, Newberry, CA, son, Christopher VanMeter, Ashland, OH, and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Terry. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - Belleview. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be sent at hiers-baxley.com.
