Michele "Mitzi" Dawn Evans

Michele Dawn Evans (nickname Mitzi), 50, died Saturday March 7, 2015. Mitzi was born in Orlando but moved to Tampa in her late teens. She was predeceased by her father, Crosby Michael Evans, grandfather Charles Evans, grandmother Eura Shinn, grandfather Jack Smith, and aunt Phyllis Smith Parker. She is survived by her mother, Gloria Smith Holloway, her grandmother Winifred (Cox) Smith Brown, siblings Sonya Long (Jeff) and Mitchell Evans, aunt Judy Evans Brooks, and several cousins, including Kyla Parker Costello and Aaron Parker and cousin and close friend Joy Davis. She is also survived by nieces Natasha Wells, Katrina Hayes, Mattie Hayes, Katelyn Evans, and nephew Kenny Hayes. Mitzi was kind-hearted and friendly. She worked in the service industry in Tampa for many years, making many friends along the way. The family wishes to thank her devoted friend Michael Long for helping care for her during her illness.
