Michelle Lee Neubert, 82 years of age, passed on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in her home in Pebble Beach.
Michelle was born August 1, 1942 in Pontiac Michigan to the late Bernard and Barbara Neubert. She was the oldest and last surviving of four children. A daughter of a Lt. Colonel in the US Army, Michelle moved around a great deal during her formative years. She attended Pacific Grove High School for 11th grade before moving to Taipei, Taiwan where she graduated from high school before moving back to Pebble Beach. She obtained degrees from San Fernando State University.
Michelle was an innovative soul with many life pivots. A pioneering Rottweiler breeder in the 1970s, her de Michaela AKC certified bloodline produced six Champion Dogs. Michelle also founded the Greater Dallas Rottweiler Club. Real estate investment was the entrepreneurial thread of her working years. In retirement, she founded the Beers-Neubert Foundation, which supports other non-profits in the education of the importance trees and their role in mitigating climate change. She also founded Local Global Cooling, a working non-profit to help repair damaged forests and sponsor youth camping in the Monterey area.
Michelle leaves to cherish her loving memory, daughters Laraine and Sheryl Quail and Karylin Colegrove, six grandsons, two nieces, four nephews and a multitude of friends, colleagues and community members.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 21st, 11AM at St Francis Xavior Catholic Church in Seaside.
