Michelle Blake Richards passed away April 23, 2021, in Olympia, Washington. She was born August 15, 1976, to William “Bill” and Joy Blake in Portland, Oregon. Michelle graduated from North Thurston High School in 1995, Pacific Lutheran University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and Tacoma Community College in 2005 with an Associate of Applied Science – Respiratory Therapy. Professionally, she was a respiratory therapist at Providence St. Peter Hospital, and also worked at the family business, Royal Western Shows Ltd. She was a member of the Northwestern Showmen’s Club. Michelle married John Richards on December 21, 2004, in Olympia. She was compassionate, generous and fun-loving. She enjoyed roller derby, sport cars, tennis, the Seattle Seahawks, and traveling. She is survived by her husband, John Richards; son, Marcus Richards; brother, Gerald “Jerry” Blake; nieces, Grace and Emma Blake; and father, Bill Blake. She was predeceased by her mother, Joy Blake. Michelle was an organ donor. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
