Miguel Salamanca

Miguel A. Salamanca departed this life on October 25, 2013, from Capital Caring in Arlington, Virginia at the age of 62. He was born on July 15, 1951, in Zacatepec, Mexico. Miguel was a graduate of Zacatepec High School and attended the University of Mexico for three years before moving to the United States. Here in the States he started his floral design career working for several florists in New Orleans, Chicago, San Francisco and the District of Columbia. His employer in the District Greenworks was located in The Willard Hotel where many of his magnificent designs were displayed. He received many awards for his outstanding floral arrangements. He is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by three sisters Irma, Alma (Salo), Cruz (Carlos), two brothers Roberto, Enrique (Lina), an abundance of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. Interment will be at the Zacatepec Cemetery, Zacatepec, Mexico. Miguel A. Salamanca fallecio el 25, de Octubre en el Capitol Caring en Arlington Virginia a la edad de 62 anos. Miguel nacio el 15 de Julio de 1951 en Zacatepec, Mexico. Miguel se graduo de la preparatoria y asistio a la universidad de Mexico. Cuando se mudo a los Estados Unidos empezo su carrera de florista en New Orleans, Chicago, San Francisco, y Distric of Colombia, donde trabajo en Greenworks localizado en The Willard Hotel. El recibio varios reconocimientos por sus diseno. El es precedido en muerte por su padre y su madre. Le sobreviven sus hermanas Irma, Alma (Salo), Cruz (Carlos) y sus dos hermanos Roberto y Enrique (Lina) asi como sus sobrinas y sobrinos. Sus cenizas estaran depocitadas en el cementerio de Zacatepec, Mexico.
