August 3rd, 1938
Miguel Meza Soria, was born on August 3, 1938 in the Mexican town of Izucar de Matamoros, Puebla. He passed away peacefully, June 9, 2009 surrounded by family and loved ones, after battling an illness. He was raised in Churintzio, Michoacan and spent his later years in Salinas, Calfornia. Mr. Soria lived a playful life. He enjoyed puzzle making and was an avid baseball fan, as well being a skilled woodworker. he is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rosa Soria children Miguel Soria Vicente Soria Isabel Perez Rosa Garcia Rita Soria Armando Soria fifteen grandchildren four great-grandchildren sister Teresa Soria brother Vicente Soria preceded in death by both parents Vicente and Andrea Soria sister Rufa and brother Andres

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
