Mike R. McGee
June 30th, 2015
Mike R. McGee passed suddenly at home on June 30, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; stepson, Brad Peters, his wife Sandra Peters, and boys, Nate and Will; stepson, Jeremy Palmer, and his children, Andie and Nolan; sister, Connie Johnson, and her husband Dick, and children Jacque and Clint; and sister, Linda MGee, and her husband Howard Robbins of San Rafael, California. Mike grew up in The Dalles, Oregon, where his parents, Jim and Jane McGee, still reside. He moved to the Olympia area in the early ‘70s and quickly found his niche in real estate. He continued on this path for 40 years and was very successful. In the early ‘90s, he had Lasik eye surgery and promptly signed up for flying lessons and earned his private pilot license. The man had a plan. He and Jackie liked to travel, many times to their special place in Mexico. They also enjoyed traveling in their fifth-wheel to many interesting places. They also took a few cruises. Boy, did Mike love crusin’! To his four step grandchildren, he was an amazing grandfather. Never once did he turn down an opportunity to spend time with them. He was known as the “tech guru” in the family and was frequently called for help with technology, even by his 21-year-old grandson. He was always there for advice, help, and a good laugh, despite the business of life. All of his grandchildren loved him very much and will miss him dearly. Please leave memories of Mike or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
