Mikel Lee Rexford

Mikel Lee Rexford 69 was born January 26, 1946 in Dothan, Alabama and moved to Florida as an infant. He moved to Vero Beach, FL in 1977 from Miami, FL and he and his wife Elaine moved to The Masonic Home in St Petersburg, FL in 2014. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Elaine Christos Rexford of St Petersburg, FL son Richard Rexford of Vero Beach, FL, brother John (Pat) of Vero Beach FL, sister Diane Rasmussen of Vero Beach FL, grandson Jacob Rexford and granddaughter Jordan Rexford, stepsons James Mitchell (Julie) and Grandsons Zachary and Tyler of Loveland, OH and John Mitchell (Katherine) and grandsons William and John of Franklin Square, NY. He was predeceased by his father Roy Rexford, mother Lizzie Mae Rexford, sisters Frances Rexford and Roberta Rexford, Brother Donny Rexford and son Chad Rexford. Mikel was a certified general contractor in Florida for many years and was a Construction Supervisor at Jim Walter Homes and a Vice President of Rexford Inc. He was a member of St Nicholas Greek Orthodox church, in Fort Pierce FL for over twenty-seven years, and President of the Parish Council. He is a Past Master of Masonic Lodge No 250 in Vero Beach FL, and is a member of The Scottish Rite and Amara Temple in West Palm Beach, FL. He is a past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No 135, Vero Beach, FL, and past president of the Optimist Club. Visitation will be at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street North, St. Petersburg FL on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 10:00am with services at 11:00 am. A Masonic Memorial service will be held at The Masonic Home of Florida Friday May 1, 2015 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Masonic Home of Florida 3201 1st St. NE, Petersburg, Florida 33704 .
