Mildred Clara (Churchfield) Boatfield, 95, Of Winter Haven, FL passed away June 22, 2020 at the Life Care Health and Rehab Center. She was born July 1, 1924 in Oakfield, NY to the late Walter “Harry” and Gertrude E. (McGrath) Churchfield. She attended Oakfield School for her formal education. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years. They were married January 17, 1942 at Saint Cecilias Catholic Church in Oakfield, NY. She was also predeceased by her 2 daughters: Bonnie J. Lorenz and Barbara E. Lambert and nephew, Howard J. Carter, son-in-law’s: Donald K. Peters, Gerald Bacher, and William Lorenz, grandsons: Joseph Bacher and James R. “Buddy” Boatfield, great-grandson: Jacob Alexander Boatfield. She is survived by her 4 remaining children: Joanne C. Peters of Winter Haven, James W. (Carol) Boatfield of Eerie, PA, Mildred E. Bacher of Auburndale, and Robert K. Boatfield of Orlando and Blanche Crane Boatfield of Auburndale. Son-in law: Henry lambert of Colorado, sister-in-law: Ruth Berg Crurchfield Cox of Medina, NY She was the last and second oldest of 7 children. The late Walter Churchfield, William J. Churchfield, Gertrude E. Wallace, John “Jackie” Churchfield, Kenneth P. Churchfield, Robert M. Churchfield. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 5 generations with 6 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a Columbiete of the Winter Haven Chapter. She and her husband were both very active with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Lakeland, FL. She and her husband both retired from Thomas J. Lipton where she was a quality control lead inspector. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing cards, and traveling. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Due to Covid-19 virus precautions the service will be held privately.
