"Amsterdam, NY and formerly Bondsville, MA - Mildred Juanita (Posey) Shea , 87, died on December 26, 2013 at Mt. Valley Hospice Home in Gloversville, NY. She was born June 14, 1926 in Drew, AR, the daughter of Richard & Evans (Hoover) Posey. She lived in Bondsville, MA for most of her life and worked as a supervisor for AT & T for all of her working career before retiring in 1985. She was a member of the former St. Bartholomew's Church and was a member of Palmer Senior Center. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kathleen Boudreau of Amsterdam, NY, along with her granddaughter Kelly Boudreau and great granddaughter, Kalista of Wilbraham and brothers Billy Posey of FL, and Curtis Posey of OK. Besides her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Shea (1985), and brothers Lawrence Rae, Clayton, and J.Lee. Calling hours will be from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29 at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be in the spring in the parish cemetery. Memorial contributions are requested to be made to the Mt. Valley Hospice Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, New York 12078.
