Milton Louis Boehm
March 18th, 1928 - September 20th, 2012
Milton L. Boehm, 84 of Greeley, Colorado passed away on September 20, 2012 at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born March 18, 1928 to Herbert & Georgia (Walker) Boehm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Milt lived in Woodward, Oklahoma until 1939 when the family moved to Watonga, Oklahoma. He graduated from Watonga High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Oklahoma. He was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma. Milt married his high school sweetheart, Donna Crail, on August 21, 1949 in Watonga. While attending the University of Oklahoma, Milt was in the ROTC. He served his country as a 1st Lt in the Army Artillery during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged and he and Donna then returned to Watonga where he became partners with his father in the theatre business. In July of 1959, the family moved to Ft. Morgan, Colorado and continued their partnership with his parents as owners of the Cover Theatre and Valley Drive Inn. Milt enjoyed the many friendships that were developed during this venture. In 1999, he retired and sold the theatres after which they relocated to Greeley. As an active businessman in the community he supported many local activities. He was a lifelong member of the Fraternal Order of Elks, the Masonic Order, National Association of Theatre Owners, Lions Club and the First Congregational Church of Greeley. Milt enjoyed spending time with family, especially at the holidays and on special occasions and with friends; traveling, reading, playing cards, music, movies and creating jewelry. Milti is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Claudia Stevens ( Denny) all of Greeley; sons, Milton L. "Mike” Boehm II of Ft, Morgan; Brad Boehm (Jennifer) of Greeley; grandchildren, Milton L. "Trae” Boehm III (Tammy); great grandchildren, Alyssa and Mykayla Forsyth and Chris Boehm all of Ft. Morgan and Callie Stevens of Butte, Montana. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26 2012 at the First Methodist Church ,117 East Bijou Avenue, Fort Morgan. Memorial contributions may be made to the "First Methodist Church of Ft. Morgan”, "The Ft. Morgan Bandshell in City Park”, or charity of your choice in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
