Milton E. Wager, Sr; age 93, of Gloversville, died October 3, 2017 at his home under the care of his wife and children. He was born January 16, 1924 in Gloversville, the son of Harry and Gertrude James Wager. He was employed by G. Levor and Company for 25 years, F. Rulison and Son for 20 years and Wood and Hyde Leather Corp. Milt was a great sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and snowmobiling. He was a member of the East Wooster Fish and Game Club. He is survived by his wife of over 72 years, Virginia R. Jaquay Wager; five children, Dawne Tiano (Charles) of Gloversville, Linda Cozzolino (Dominick) of Sammonsville, Gertrude Podschelne (Jim Loux) of Ephratah, Milton E. Wager, Jr. (Rosemary) of Gloversville and Claude Wager of Rock Ledge, FL. He loved his 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Milt was predeceased by his parents, also by all eight of his siblings, Carl, Clarence, Earl and Gerald Wager, Arlene Borrero, Joyce Goodemote, Patricia Fairchild and Lilian Zimmerman. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville
