Minnie Ellen Manis

Minnie Ellen Manis, age 72, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at Select Specialty in Bristol, TN after a lengthy illness. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Ruth Epps; and brothers, Jerry Epps and Robert Phillips. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, James D. (Jim) Manis; special niece, Pinkie Shaffer and husband, Mike; great niece, Halie Shaffer; brother, Perley Epps and wife, Phyllis; nieces, Tammy Christian, Myra Gray, Beth Keys, Tina Jeffers and Linda Grandy; nephew, James Phillips; sisters-in-law, Shelby Jean Manis, Barbara (Doug) Arnold, Mary Ellen (Bill) Brooks, Sharon (Don) Mallory, Brenda (Bob) Porter, Carolyn Miano and Anita (Jimmy) Reams; brothers-in-law, J.L. (Kitty) Manis, Billy (Ann) Manis, Darrell (Sherlene) Manis and Sammy (Suzanne) Manis; and several nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Lewis Kizer of Salem UMC Blountville, TN officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport.
