Miriam Ruth Bertuleit
September 15th, 1937 - January 20th, 2018
Miriam Bertuleit, beloved child of God, wife, mother, grandmother and sister was called home to her eternal rest on January 20, 2018. Miriam was born to Wilfred and Ruth Beltz Zink on September 15, 1937. Raised in Portland, she attended Beach Grade School and Jefferson High School graduating from there in 1954. She attended Portland State University. Miriam worked in several medical doctors’ offices before marrying Dan Bertuleit on November 14, 1959 in Trinity Baptist Church (now Trinity Fellowship) where she was an active member all her adult life. She served in various positions there as children’s Sunday school teacher, longtime secretary of the church board, and women’s Bible study leader. Miriam had unwavering faith in God and His promises. Miriam and Dan lived in Tigard, Oregon raising their two children, Susan and Michael. Miriam was predeceased by her parents and Dan, her husband of over 50 years. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Burson (Brian); son Michael (Sharon); granddaughters Lauren, Haley, Elissa, Emma and Audrey and two sisters Elizabeth Gordon and Judy Moeckli (Gordon). A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at Trinity Fellowship Church, 2700 SE 67th, Portland, Oregon 97206.
