Misael "Misol" Castrello
September 21st, 1980 - March 27th, 2020
Misael Castrello (Misol), 39, of Amsterdam passed away March 27, 2020. He was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on September 21, 1980 and is the son of Luz D. Carrasquillo and the late Julio A. Castrello. Besides his loving mother, Misael will be forever missed by his siblings Julio Castrello (Jennifer) of Amsterdam NY, Sefora Castrello (Jose) of East Durham NY, Esteban Castrello (Crystal) of Joliet IL, and Gabriel Castrello (Kayla) of Schenectady NY. His loving daughter who was his world Juliana Castrello, nieces Jenializ Castrello, Jazlyn Castrello, and nephew and god son Joshua Castrello. Misael loved spending quality time with his family and friends, and he loved making people laugh especially by sending funny videos. He also loved sports. During high school, he played football for the Lawrence High School Lancers and later with the Amsterdam Zephyrs. He was a diehard New England teams fan, and a cars and guns enthusiast. Due to the unprecedented circumstances presented by the COVID-19, we regret to inform you that calling hours and funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a donation fund on behalf of his daughter. Donations can be made to the family care of Juliana Castrello. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Online condolences may be made at www.brbsfuneral.com.
