Mona Lee Thomas-Truesdale

Mona Lee Thomas-Truesdale February 17, 1956 – July 23, 2023 With hearts both heavy and full of love, we announce the passing of Mona Lee Thomas-Truesdale. On Sunday July 23, 2023, Mona returned to God’s eternal and loving embrace following a lengthy illness called Amyloidosis. She passed peacefully in Lakewood, Colorado with family nearby. Mona was born on February 17, 1956, to parents Clayton “Tommy” (Deceased) and Leora “Lee” Thomas (Surviving), in Watertown, South Dakota. After moving to Littleton as a child and growing up with her sister Vicky, brothers Scott and Mark all surviving. On February 12,1982 Mona married her husband, Robert Truesdale. On October 25, 1991, she welcomed her son Tyler Truesdale. Motherhood was her proudest achievement, which all could see when she fondly spoke of Tyler…or as she lovingly would call him – Bobo. A compassionate and free-spirited young woman, Mona lived her life in service to others. In addition to her work in caregiving, Mona led a successful career in accounting after graduating as valedictorian from Barnes Business College. Mona was very active and loved all family actives, playing golf, camping, watering skiing, taking motorcycle cross country trips and being outside in the mountains with family. God blessed Mona with the gift of giving. Her soul smiled with the happiness of others. She lives on lovingly in our memory as a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all that knew her. In lieu of gifts, we would ask that any donations be made to Foothills Animal Shelter, Golden Colorado. or St. Jude Children Hospital.
