Mona Delisa Norrell

Mona Delisa Norrell of Colorado Springs, Co peacefully passed away in Colorado Springs on July 4th, 2024 at the age of 63.  She was born June 1, 1961 to Dr. Hilliard E. Chesteen and Mary Katherine Tubb in Gulfport, Mississippi.

After graduating High School at Lee High in Baton Rouge, LA in 1979 Delisa earned a bachelor's degree in finance at LSU.  She was in the IT industry for more than 30 years as a computer programmer.  More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a love for the beach and the mountains.  Going to Rocky Mountain National Park each fall was one of her favorite times of the year.

She is preceded in death by her father Hilliard Chesteen, mother Mary Tubb and daughter Brook Lynn.  

Delisa is survived by her husband Frank Norrell, daughter Vail Norrell and son Grant Norrell.  Sister's Diane O'Connor and husband Bland of Baton Rouge, LA, Denise and husband Jerry Wranischar of Trinity, TX, brother Hilliard (Chip) Chesteen of Baton Rouge, LA, sister's Dana and husband Jim Cummings of Tulsa, OK and Rene and husband Steve Jones of Oklahoma City, OK and granddaughter Azalea Pettigrew of  Zachary, LA.

Memorial contributions may be sent to your favorite charity.  

Funeral services will be held in Baton Rouge at a later date.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the love her family and friends gave her over the years.  Most importantly Delisa believed in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  She was loved and will be missed immensely!
