Monica N. Ouellette of Belchertown was called home on October 12, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born on August 16, 1934 in Holyoke to the late Eva and Felix Gagnon. For many years, she stayed home raising her children and worked as a waitress in the evening. Her second career was working at the Tax Collector's office at the Ludlow Town Hall. She enjoyed sewing, shopping with her girlfriends, and spending time with her family. She had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes.She is survived by her four daughters, Carol (Pat) McDaniel, Susan (Jim) Murray, Linda Belisle, and Laurie Quinn; her five grandchildren, Karen, Bridget, Katie, Kelly, and Conor; as well as three great granddaughters, Laysha, Alexis, and Madison. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her grandson, Scott Rieck; her wonderful longtime friend, Ray Babineau; and her 3 brothers and 3 sisters.Services will be held October 23, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Belchertown with a period of visitation from 9-10am with a Funeral Mass to begin at 10am. A graveside service will immediately follow in Precious Blood Cemetery in South Hadley.
