Monica Ann Shoemaker
June 25th, 1960 - July 8th, 2017
Monica Ann Shoemaker passed away on July 8, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 25, 1960 to Albert and Rita Puttman Richter of Enumclaw. Monica was a lifelong area resident and a 1978 EHS graduate. She went on to work at Heath Techna, Kenworth Truck Co. and recently retired from the Boeing Company with 32 years of service. Monica was a member of the Aerospace Machinist Union. Monica loved antiques and could not pass up a garage sale. She cultivated a beautiful garden each summer and loved music. Monica was a free spirit who loved to be outdoors. She especially loved going to the ocean beaches with her family. British humor and BBC comedies were high on her list and Austin Power movies were her favorites. Monica had a wicked sense of humor and a great mimic. Monica spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren and loved being called Nanny and/or Nana. Monica is survived by daughters Danielle Paterson and Ashley Shoemaker, and son, Colton Shoemaker, all of Enumclaw; special loves grandchildren Hunter, Lola and Mason; sister Connie Roseth (Peder) of Kent; and uncle Jim Puttman (Betty) of Enumclaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Stan, former husband, Michael Shoemaker and stepson, Dustin Shoemaker. Donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Puget Sound, 112-5th Ave. North., Seattle, WA 98109. Graveside Service is Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11am at Enumclaw Cemetery, 23717 SE 416th St, Enumclaw, WA and memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 12 noon at 39811 272nd SE, Enumclaw, WA.
