Monique Grace Montoya

Monique Grace Montoya, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2018 as a result of a car accident. Monique was born to Fred and Bernie Montoya in Espanola, NM on November 26, 1974 and went to be with our Dear Lord on June 25, 2018. Monique is preceded in death by her father, Fred Montoya. Monique is survived by her three children, Desiree Montoya-Vidal, Selena Ocana, and Sabastian Ocana; grandchildren, Gloria G. Gallegos, Jeremy E. Vidal-Soliz, and her loving mother, Bernie Montoya. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Monique was a very loving and caring Mother who loved her children unconditionally. Many things were left unsaid and undone but never forget my dear children and my dear mother that you'll always have a guardian angel looking over you. When you thing about me don't remember me with tears, remember all the good times we shared and that I always carried you all in my heart. Monique received her GED and then became a caregiver for older Americans. She worked in various locations and made many friends. She loved to cook, go camping, fishing and was an all-around nature person. She always made time for everyone and enjoyed telling stories and making people laugh. She was a very friendly person and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Mass and Rosary will be celebrated Monday, July 9, 2018 at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito, NM. Rosary will begin at 10:00 AM with the Funeral Mass to follow the Rosary. Burial will take place at the El Rito Cemetery immediately following the Mass. To view the full obituary and to sign the on-line guest register book, please go to www.RiversideFunerals.com  Arrangements entrusted to: Riverside Funeral Home of Santa Fe 3232 Cerrillos Road (505) 395-9150Â
