Monique was born in Paris, France on March 25, 1930. She married Hilary Morgan on February 10, 1954 and then moved to the U.S., becoming a naturalized citizen. Monique died after an extended illness Saturday, August 1, 2015. Monique was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was very active in the lives of her children as they grew, helping with their church and school activities, and serving as a leader in their Girl Scout troops. She was a fine seamstress, making clothes for both her daughters and their dolls. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was like a mother to her granddaughter, Hillarie, and loved her dearly, taking great pride and joy in all her accomplishments. Monique cared greatly for her First Baptist Church family as well. She made sure to call members to wish them “Happy Birthday” and they looked forward to those calls every year. She played an active role in the church, served on several committees, and supported mission work near and far. Monique was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Hilary Morgan. She is survived by her daughters Helene (Jack) Forester, Barbara (Bonwell) Lipsey, and Marlene (Artie) Beck; grandchildren Hillarie (Matthew) Furman, Ben (Lauren) Beck, Melissa (Matt) Kubic, Matt (Laura) Branyan, Russell (Jill) Branyan, Julie Forester, and Leigh (Josh) Loyd; and great-grandchildren Kylie, Cash, Quinn, Blake, Sipsey, Wheeler, Nash, Tinsley, and Piper. The family would like to acknowledge Monique’s devoted caregivers and friends Elaine, Sherrie, and Jennifer. Visitation is Monday, August 3 from 6-8 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11am, Tuesday, August 4, at First Baptist Church of Warner Robins, with burial to follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, First Baptist Church of Warner Robins Property & Grounds, or Homestead Hospice. Please go to www.heritagememorialfuneralhome.com to sign the online guestbook. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
