Sheryl Ann Kellogg Shoman

June 15th, 1957 - August 11th, 2024

Sheryl Ann Kellogg Shoman, 67, our sister in Christ, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully on August 11, 2024, in her home. Sheryl was an angel to many through her service, support, and help with organizations such as Regency-Southern Care Hospice, Kairos Prison Ministries, and several animal shelters. Sheryl served others like Christ would want us to serve.

"Be kind to one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Therefore, be imitators of God as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Ephesians 4:32- 5:2

Some of the happiest moments in Sheryl’s life were when she celebrated colorful buds and blooms while tending to her garden, when she peered through her camera lens and snapped photos of amazing wildlife, nature, and landscapes, when she focused her eyes on the tiny fluttering wings of the annual visitation of hummingbirds, and when sipping a cup of coffee with a friend. However, her greatest joy came when she and her husband traveled to spend precious time with their son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. These were the true gems in her life. All who knew Sheryl were a witness to her strong faith and commitment to God, evident in every single aspect of her life. She truly lived by example.

Sheryl loved to study the Bible and was a member of many Bible studies throughout the area and online. She encouraged others to study and sought God's will and truth for her life. Sheryl is now in God's presence. She will be greatly missed, but we all look forward to seeing her again one day.

Sheryl graduated with a degree in Finance from Auburn University. Dedicated to her career, she retired from Robins Air Force Base in December 2017 after almost 38 years of Federal service. From 2019-2020, she worked as a contractor at Mercer Engineering Research Center.

Mrs. Shoman is survived by her husband Tyler; her son Nathan and his wife Andrea; her granddaughter Lily; her sister Linda Turner; her brother Wayne Kellogg; sisters-in-law Dianne Frewer and Susie Shoman; and brothers-in-law Joe and Andy Shoman. She was always proud of her son’s and his wife’s accomplishments and offered unwavering support and guidance to her family and friends.

On April 5, 2025, Sheryl’s family invites you to her Celebration of Life Service. Beginning at 10 AM, at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, 701 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, GA. We encourage you to bring along a story, a note, a small written message that might reflect your interaction with Sheryl and how she touched your life. We will collect these at the service and pass them along to her son and daughter-in-law, with a plan to save these for the grandchildren. One day they will all have an opportunity to witness the love and light that their grandmother brought to this world. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or one of the animal shelters in your area.
