Muriel Cushman

June 25th, 1927 - August 26th, 2022

Muriel was born in Washougal, Washington on June 25, 1927 and went to the Lord on August 26, 2022 at the age of 95. She married Harold Henry Cushman oh March 8, 1946. They raised nine children and raised them first on Government Island until movingto Sauvie Island, Oregon. Murielwas preceded in death by her husband Harold, son Larry, brother Kenneth and sister Geraldine Almer, daughter in law Nanci Cushman, and son in law Mike Hill; her parents Ethel Mary Scotton and Kenneth DHood. Muriel and Harold had nine children, with eight surviving they are Thomas (Jane), Steve (Sherry), Raymond (Ethel), Sharon Hill, Karen Ensell, Diane Dornbrock (Tim), Lisa Willis (Ben), Mike (Stephanie). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Muriel will be remembered for always being kind, forgiving and seeing the good in people. Friends and family will remember her large garden that she enjoyed sharingwith friends, neighbors and family. She always took pride in her garden, and the flowers in heryard especially the dahlias. Those that were fortunate will remember her delicious pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls and cakes. She canned peaches, pears and cherries which family always enjoyed. After Harold retired, they moved to North Portland and took severaftrips in their motor home. They also enjoyed their road trips, fishing, camping and seeing as much of the country as possible. Family would like to thank Paulina Macaveifor her loving care of Muriel and becoming a close friend to her. Thank you also to Elder Place and Georgetta Sarbovfortheir care of Muriel.
