October 14th, 1914 - February 20th, 2011
Myrtle Edith Laubenfels, 96, of Englewood, FL passed away at Venice Regional Medical Center Sunday, February 20, 2011. Mrs. Laubenfels was born on October 14, 1914 in Tideville, IL to Carl and Edith (Eckstrand) Ogren. She retired from the Burlington Rail Road in Chicago, IL after more than 20 years of service and moved to Florida in 1954 from Aurora, IL. She was a member of the Englewood United Methodist Church and Western Springs Methodist Church in Weston Springs, IL. Mrs. Laubenfels was also a member of the Englewood United Methodist Church Creative Workshop and enjoyed doing crafts. She is survived by her daughter; Helen (Lawrence) Graves of Englewood: two grandsons; Michael of Golden, CO and Chris of Englewood and two great grandsons; Baron and Gunner of Golden, CO. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Englewood United Methodist Church, 700 East Dearbonr Street. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Laubenfels' name to the Englewood United Methodist Church Creative Workshop, 700 East Dearborn St. Englewood, FL 34223.
