Beers and Story - Belchertown
Nancy Edith Booth
October 14th, 1936 - March 10th, 2022
Belchertown--Nancy Edith Booth, age 85, departed with her guardian angels to heaven on March 10, 2022 while being cared for by The Center for Extended Care in Amherst where the staff cared for her with kindness and dignity. She was born October 14, 1936 in Ware, Massachusetts to George and Carrie Booth who made their home in Belchertown. She loved growing up on the farm and graduated from Belchertown High School. She took pride in supporting the military and lived away from Belchertown during that time but came back to her hometown. Nancy’s legacy was her love for her family, children and her home. She was an avid crafter creating many gifts over the years for her family. Her children were the focus of her life and she cooked many meals and never missed a celebration. She took great pride in taking care of her house and yard. As we all know, she was a bit of a perfectionist! Nancy loved looking out her window at the many animals that walked through her yard. The sight of the first robin returning in the Spring brought her joy. She led a quiet spiritual life with kindness to all she met. Nancy is survived by her children Wendy Chevalier, Terry Chevalier and wife Mary, Chris Chevalier and his wife Nell. Her grandchildren Josh Fugler and his partner Jess, Jeremy Fugler and his wife Stephanie, Carrie Vickers and her husband Kevin as well as Barry, Christopher and Daniel Chevalier. She also leaves four great-grandchildren Jake and Abigail Fugler and Jase and Charlotte Vickers. She will be missed by her beloved sister, Marie Trombly, along with her nieces and nephews. She is now in heaven with her sister, Ginny Hislop who recently passed. Nancy will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Please join us in celebrating her life at the Hope United Methodist Church, Belchertown on March 20th at 1:00 followed by a gathering at the Grapevine Restaurant. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hope United Methodist Church, 31 Main Street in Belchertown.
