Nancy Catherine Michel

Michel, Nancy Catherine Age 87 of Gulport, passed away on Thursday, 6 October 2016 at her residence surrounding by her loving family. Her strong faith carried her and her family through her battle with cancer. Born in Hubbardsville, NY to her late parents Louis and Catherine (Corletto) Langone. Nancy is pre-deceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Winfred Michel. She is survived by six children, Catherine (Terry) Schwartz, Anthony Michel, Janet (Kevin) McNamara, Patricia (Nathan) Michel, Mary Schwing, Diane (Stephen) Hallmark. Four grandchildren: Alexandra and Brice Michel, Daniel and Christopher Meeks. And her loving dogs Pepper and Lilly. Her siblings include: Mary Battaglia, Louis Langone, Daniel Langone, and Eugene Langone. Brothers Rocco, John and Anthony are pre-deceased. During Nancy's 87 years, she was a loving mother to her own children, as well as others' through her work as a preschool teacher. Nancy's devotion to her parish church included participation in the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Women's Club, and Faith Formation program. She also volunteered in many parish community activities. Public viewing will occur on Tuesday, 11 October from 6:00 - 8:00pm at A Life Tribute, Gulfport. Funeral services will be conducted at Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Gulfport.
