Nancy Caroline Milam

NANCY C. (EASTMAN) MILAM 

Nancy Caroline Milam, of Rotonda West, FL passed peacefully Monday, July 1, 2024. Nancy Milam was born on November 12, 1934 in Camden, AR the daughter of Marshall and Jessie (Smith) Williford. Nancy Milam was married to Col. Charles Mcray Milam and he preceded her death on June 2, 2017. Nancy formerly from Sandusky, OH enjoyed wintering in Florida for several years before moving to full time in the 90's. She was an extremely creative person and focused her energy on many projects over the years. Nancy was a master seamstress and even stepped out of her comfort zone to tackle reupholstering. She enjoyed designing silk flower arrangements and handcrafted wreaths for occasions. Nancy enjoyed her women's golf group and had a flair for hosting elegant and fun-filled dinner parties for her friends and family. While she was a strong woman and spoke her mind, she was very gracious in helping others monetarily. Nancy is survived by her children, Marcia Ann Cochie, Englewood, and Mary Elizabeth Eastman, Columbus, OH; stepson Ronald H. Milam, Little Rock, AR; and her grandson-in-law Erikk Ross; grandchildren, Andrew (Chad) Cochie, Orlando FL and Paul Gabel, Sandusky, OH; great-grandchild, Everett Ross, Orlando, FL. She is also survived by her former husbands, Herbert P. Eastman and Richard P. Gabel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Jessie (Smith) Williford; husband, Col. Charles Mcray Milam; siblings, Emily F. Kiser-Wacker, Evelyn Webel, Marshall and Richard Willford; son, Terrence Paul Gabel, stepsons, Bennett Campbell Eastman, Stuart Renick Eastman and Michael A. Milam; granddaughter, Meredith Cochie Ross; former husband's, Richard P. Gabel and Herbert P. Eastman. The family will have a private remembrance somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico.
