Nancy J. Nordeen

Nancy Jo Nordeen, the daughter of the late Donell & Philus (Silfer) Phillips was born March 9, 1936 at St. Edward, Nebraska. She passed away on July 10, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 82. She grew up in Nebraska on a farm 6 miles east of St. Edward. She went to country school, Dist. #27 through the eighth grade, and then graduated from St. Edward High School in 1953. She was married to Max Nordeen and they had 5 children, Tom, Jack, Keith, Todd & Karla. She worked in Albion, Nebraska for 15 years at Wells Pharmacy & Hallmark before moving to Arizona. In 1986 she & daughter, Karla moved to Arizona. She worked at Walgreens as an Assistant Manager and retired after 17 years. She was active in bowling for 57 years and still bowled 2 leagues until her death. She loved nature, hiking and working outdoors. For the past 14 years she worked at Costco doing food demos. Her favorite thing was visiting her children. She also worked at Yellowstone Park one summer and loved the Park, her favorite place. She also loved country music and going to county music concerts. She is survived by her children, Tom Nordeen of Powell, Wyoming; Jack Nordeen of Albion, Nebraska; Keith Nordeen and wife Rita of Cody, Wyoming; Todd Nordeen and wife Susie of Alliance, Nebraska; Karla Baum and husband Ken of Tucson, Arizona; 8 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Donell & Philus Phillips, sisters Donna Wasco (2016), Judy Linnerson (2001) and brother Dale (1969).
