Nancy R Ramsey

Nancy R. Ramsey, age 79, born May 29, 1933, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. She went back to High School in Grants after the death of her husband Oakie and was a 1969 graduate. Nancy moved to Barstow, CA after her husband Lewis passed away to live closer to her son Steve and worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement at which time she moved to Los Lunas to be close to her son Nathan. She will be missed by all who knew her. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Hrbacek; husbands, Oakie Whitley and Lewis Ramsey and step-son, Paul Ramsey. She is survived by her sons, Steve Whitley and his wife Marilyn (Ricki) of Grants and Nathan Whitley and his wife Bonnie of Los Lunas; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and step-son, Chuck Ramsey and his wife Shannon of Fredericksburg, TX. A viewing will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church, located at 518 Valencia in Milan, NM. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with Rev. Garland Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Grants Memorial Park, Roosevelt Ave. Pallbearers will be Chris Evans, Steve Whitley, David Whitley, Tylor Conwell, Charles Hitchcock and Jeff Hitchcock.
